A Witch Story

Becky was a talented young witch with the burden of saving lives on her shoulders. She and her invisible dog Fruntz were employed by the Melo Clan to change the lives of those on a self-destructive path. Each year, Becky took one day off to attend the Celestial Festival, but the Melo needed her power to save the life of an unexpected suicide victim. To her dismay, she warped into the woods to save an ungrateful client.

Here I compress seven months of my life into seven minutes of film. All of the audio and visuals were recorded by my phone and edited together with Final Cut Pro. The results are fascinating.

The Sketch: Comedy Club

So you may not know, but I got into video production and film making though Virginia Tech’s now deceased sketch comedy club, aptly named The Sketch. We were a bunch of misfits with dreams of writing, directing, and acting, but plagued by an even stronger love of goofing off. In the last year of The Sketch’s run – Season 6 (which also correlates with my time there…. don’t think too much into that), I had the opportunity to write and direct four short sketches.
