Digital Art and Illustration

Illustration

I gravitate to the digital landscape to pursue the boundaries of my imagination. When I find I’m hooked on an image and I want to render it relentlessly, I open up Clip Studio Paint and get to drawing. I can get lost in the microdetails for hours while illustrating as opposed to my more free flowing approach to the physical canvas.

Fan Art

I’m not shy about embracing my nerdy side. I enjoy making fan art to celebrate my favorite thing of the day, whether that’s discovering a new musical artist, getting lost in a videogame, or finding comfort in cartoons.

Original Character Designs

I’ve always been fond of character design, drawing my own people from a young age to inhabit my comics and stories. Through this practice, I can channel my nerdy fixations into trying my hand in the design space.

This selection showcases character across multiple projects, form Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, a Battle of the Bands challenge, and a hypothetical Rock, Paper, Scissors Fighting Game.

Cover People

In my 2018 series Cover People, I painted over portraits of my friends on family, using digital techniques to create surreal textures and patterns that served to amplify the pathos of the portrait. I began this series at the start of my digital art journey which led to me learning a great deal along the way and even led to me making a few album covers for my brothers’ musical projects.
