Spirit Animals is an ongoing digital illustration series
Red Fox, Grey Fox

Two images I’ve held close to me in recent years are that of the fox and the yin yang.
The Fox in various mythos is the guider of spirits or the curious mimic. Its also roughly my last name, making the fox my spirit animal if you’re into that sort of thing.
The yin and yang represent the fundamental idea of dualism. Each thing is defined by its opposite, yet they’re quite the same. The spinning, the chase, the churning, the attraction, the repulsion, the whole is the basis for all life.
The idea for this one was simple, combine the two!

Lily Snake

The Lily Snake came to mind back in February while I listened to Tame Impala’s The Slow Rush. The music moved through time as slow as a snake but as fast as a roller coaster. That feeling is key here.
